Fully refurbished in our shop, ready to use. The 4K HD camera for direct viewing on a monitor, or image capture by a computer, is available as an option for $500. It includes measurement software.
All Zeiss components, all-metal stands, built for the laboratory and the cleanroom. Click any photo to see it full size.
Every instrument we acquire is studied, and its design discussed, in Optomechanix, the magazine of optomechanical design published by OMiD, the Opto-Mechanical Institute of Design. The OMiD Museum preserves the history of optomechanical design, and its collection supports our research and prototyping. We offer these microscopes for sale to make room for more instruments.
Something you ought to know about these microscopes:
Each instrument carries a 30-day warranty on optical and mechanical function. We recommend testing it on arrival. Service and adjustment are available after the warranty period.
Fully loaded with six Zeiss objectives, including the super-bright 10X Fluar for capturing extremely dim fluorescence. Its brightness is like an f/1.0 photographic lens: at NA 0.50 it gives about 7.7 times the fluorescence image brightness of the standard 10x/0.30 objective. The Axioplan 2 is an all-metal, rigidly built platform for industrial and biological work.
Four fluorescence cubes cover most of the spectrum. Mercury HBO lamp with intensity control, 100 W halogen lamp, KG-1 filter slider to protect the fluorescence filters, and phase contrast condenser optics.
Optional 4K HD camera, $500. It shows the image directly on an LCD screen, no computer needed. Images can also be captured over its USB connection with the camera's software.
Focus, filter cube turret and the filter wheels beneath the condenser can be computer controlled. The manual objective turret memorizes each objective with its focus position, useful when switching magnifications. It takes some training to master this microscope.

In excellent opto-mechanical condition, well maintained, no dust. Equipped for brightfield, phase contrast and fluorescence. Perfect for cell culture, live-cell imaging and fluorescence microscopy.
Optional 4K HD camera, $500. It shows the image directly on an LCD screen, no computer needed. Images can also be captured over its USB connection with the camera's software.
The included 10X Plan objective suits standard biological observation. Inverted microscopes need long working distance or phase contrast objectives, so we leave the objective choice to you.
